The event will open with an in-conversation session featuring Australian Disability Discrimination Commissioner Rosemary Kayess and New Zealand Disability Rights Commissioner Prudence Walker discussing Australia and New Zealand’s implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), including progress, gaps and roadblocks.
This will be followed by an interactive conversation with attendees
This discussion is part of a workshop being hosted by People with Disability Australia (PWDA), in partnership with the Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law (ANZSIL) and the Western Sydney University School of Law (WSU) to mark the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
